Myrta Vida (pronounced "meer-tah vee-dah") is an award-winning, Puerto Rican writer who produces. She’s based in NYC.

She writes across narrative film, documentary, and literature, crafting stories rooted in identity, belonging, and connection. Through story consulting and creative producing, she also helps fellow filmmakers bring bold, culturally specific narratives to life.

She believes great storytelling preserves culture, expands empathy, and builds bridges across communities.

As a decorated U.S. Army Veteran, she brings a deep commitment to transparency, trust, and steadfast collaboration – qualities she considers essential to bringing meaningful projects across the finish line.
